lingr

For queer, gay and bisexual men and couples

Meet for real.

lingr takes you from the first message to actually meeting – openly through events and locations, or protected through Safe-Meet.

Ad-free. Hosted in Frankfurt. No tracking pixels.

Two ways

Two questions, depending on where you go.

At a festival, the question is who is actually there. Meeting one person at a private address, the question is whether anyone knows where you are.

The open way

Because something is happening.

A festival, a bar, a Sunday morning running group. You go because something is on – and you see beforehand who is actually there.

  • Events, public or private
  • Curated locations in your city
  • Check-in: who is there right now

The protected way

Because someone knows where you are.

A meeting for two, at the place of someone you do not know yet. You tell a trusted contact by when you will check back – and they only learn the details if you do not.

  • Sealed: they only see that something is running
  • Checking back deletes the entry
  • Silence releases it – impossible to miss

If you do not feel safe, you do not go. That is why this is not an add-on – it is built in.

The scope

Three building blocks, one foundation.

Events, locations, people – that is what you do. Underneath lies a finished app: every feature at a glance.

The foundation

Security Hub

All three stand on the same ground: you know who you are dealing with. Someone knows by when you will check back. And you decide what of you is visible.

See the Security Hub Privacy in detail

  • Authenticity status – connections confirm that a profile is real
  • Safe-Meet – sealed until the check-back fails
  • No GPS for others – only the approximate distance, and you can hide that too
  • Hosted in Frankfurt – no tracking pixels, nothing passed to ad networks
  • Deleting means deleting – with a 30-day window, then final

Why lingr exists

“We were fed up with bugs, ad pop-ups and an app that had not changed in 15 years. So we built lingr.

And then we realised: the actual problem was not the app. It was that most conversations ended in the chat.”
