Before you go. And while you are there.
Two questions come before every first meeting: who am I actually dealing with – and what if it does not go the way I hoped? The app answers both in one place, and in the profile that place is called exactly that: Security Hub.
Authenticity status
Who you are dealing with.
A photo proves nothing. People who vouch for a profile do – and only people who are themselves connected to that person.
What is the authenticity status?
A percentage on the profile that you do not set — your connections do: every confirmation counts 10 per cent, ten of them make 100. Only someone connected to that person can confirm, and every confirmation can be withdrawn at any time — so the value can fall as well. Whoever confirmed is named next to it. Nobody can raise their own status. The percentage and the list are both tappable — no number is without an origin.

In the profile you see it as a badge, before you even write.
Why these features exist
“For queer, gay and bisexual men and couples, the first meeting often does not happen in a café but at a private address, with someone nobody else knows. That is why it gets features of its own here.
Sometimes it is a town where you are not out. Whoever goes there usually goes alone, and tells nobody where. That is what both are built for — the authenticity status for the question before, Safe-Meet for the time you are there.”

What lets you go at all.
No profile tells you how an evening ends. That is what Safe-Meet is for — and you do not have to tell anyone anything about your private life.
What is a Safe-Meet?
An entry you create before a meeting: where you are, who you are with, a note — and by when you will check back in. You pick a trusted contact from your connections who has accepted that role beforehand. Until the deadline they only see that a Safe-Meet is running. Check back in and the entry is deleted. Fail to check in and they get the details automatically.
Your side: the time left, “All good”, extend – and the emergency button.
The release from their side: map, address, note — and the note that all of it expires after 48 hours.

Set it up
The deadline is between 15 minutes and 12 hours. At most three trusted contacts — the role should mean something.
Sealed
This is not a setting you can forget – it is how it is built. As long as you are able to check back, the details sit on the server in a way that nobody can query.
Check back in
They always get the all-clear, never the details. If you do not check back, the server releases them — with a notification that cannot be silenced.
Rules and moderation
And when someone ignores them.
The authenticity status and Safe-Meet help before and during a meeting. The third question is what happens when someone crosses a line — in a chat, on a profile, at an event. There is an answer, and it is in the app as well: Settings → Rules & Safety.
Where the line is
- 18 and over. No profile, no photo, no chat with minors
- No harassment, no hate — not inside the community either
- Out nobody: no screenshots, no passing on profiles or messages
- No borrowed faces, no fake profiles
- Explicit photos belong in private albums, never unasked in a chat
- No trade: no ads, no paid meetings, no drugs
What follows from that
- Every photo headed for a public gallery is checked for explicit content on the device — the image never leaves the phone for that
- Reporting sits top right in a profile and in a chat: six reasons, a free-text field, and blocking in the same action if you want it
- Blocking takes effect at once and both ways — connections gone, gallery access revoked, no more messages, not even at events
- A person looks at every report. Then: remove the content, warn, or suspend the profile
- Whoever reports stays anonymous to the person reported
- Profiles without completed onboarding appear nowhere — no empty profile in discovery
