Events

A reason to show up.

Meeting up needs an occasion. On lingr that is either an event anyone can come to – or an invitation to a few.

In the app

Here is what that looks like.

Public event

Anyone can come. You only say that you will be there – nobody has to let you in.

  • Festivals, Pride, club nights, concerts, marches, running groups.
  • Photo, place and the exact distance: all of it is open.
  • Signing up is enough. Everyone sees the address and the map.
  • Once checked in, you see who else is actually there.

Filtered to public: photo, date and the exact distance.

The same events on the map – every pin with its name beside it.

In detail: category, place, entry – and the slider to check in on site.

Who has signed up. Signing up does not replace the check-in.

Who is actually there right now. Only others checked in see names.

List or map, filtered by date, distance and vibe. The distance is on every row.

02

Say yes

Sign up for public events, apply for private ones. Every event has its own chat.

03

Be there

Check in on site and see who else is there. Your presence expires on its own.

The moment this is about

You are at the same festival as someone who is on lingr too. And you find out while you are there.

Checking in shows you which of the other queer men and couples are at the same event right now. You can talk to them on the spot — no detour through a chat.
