Locations

Go where someone actually is.

Not every encounter needs an event. Sometimes a place where someone is tonight is enough. Find curated locations near you.

In the app

Here is what that looks like.

The list shows category, opening status and distance.

The same locations on the map, coloured by category.

Checked in: who is here now, opening hours, address and map.

Visible only to the people who are also there

  • Checking in at a queer place is the most sensitive thing you can share in this app – it says more about you than “I was here”. The app says so before you do it, not after
  • You become visible only to others who are checked in. Not to the rest of the app, and not to people who are merely looking at the place
  • The same in both directions: if you do not show yourself, you do not see anyone either
  • Blocked people stay out – even when you are both checked in
  • And in a small venue you are recognisable. The app says that beforehand too, instead of leaving it to you afterwards

List or map, with distance and opening status. Address and route without detours.

02

Check in

Not a button but a slider – checking in is a deliberate act, because afterwards others see that you are here. Only possible nearby: the server recalculates the distance and factors in the GPS accuracy.

03

Disappear again

If you have not been in the app for 30 minutes, you count as gone – you do not have to remember to check out when you leave. One tap still works any time. After 48 hours the entry is gone entirely, not just hidden.
